DLN Workshops

Training RoomD.L. Newslow & Associates, Inc. workshops are held at the corporate office of the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals located in beautiful Orlando, Florida. The size of our classes allow for instructor/student interaction so you learn in a positive and supportive environment.

We offer safe and secure online registration, early bird and group discounts, course instructional materials, snacks and beverages are included with most of our workshops. We also offer At-Your-Site training that can be customized for your specific needs.

Everyone has the right to have access to safe and healthy foods, yet contamination can occur at any point in the process, from producer to consumer. According to the CDC, one in six people in the United States are sickened each year with a foodborne illness.

Another issue is the presence of allergens in certain foods and they account for the single largest cause of global food recalls. The path that food takes today, from farm-to-processor, or farm-to-plate, can be very complex. Which is why having a system in place to make sure that products/environments are safe is so important.

This workshop focuses on learning how to implement analytical testing tools to support an effective food safety management system and specifically how environmental monitoring can be used as a cost-effective solution to control risk during the process.

D. L. Newslow and Associates, Inc. is proud to be one of the premier companies offering the Food Safety HACCP Manager Exam developed by NRFSP. The exam is offered periodically throughout the year, usually in conjunction with our HACCP workshops.

This exam, along with the HACCP workshops that we offer, will enable QA personnel, line managers, or anyone working in food safety at manufacturing plants, processing plants, food service establishments, distribution centers, food packing, or warehouses, that are required to register with the FDA, to evaluate hazards to be able to prevent risks before they occur under FSMA regulations.

It is an excellent way to make sure that employees are trained correctly and knowledgeable enough to implement what they have learned. Participants that successfully pass this exam will receive a Food Safety HACCP Manager Certificate suitable for framing and a wallet card to carry with them.

Exam results along with the certificates, for those who take this exam at our training center in Orlando and pass, will be available within an hour of everyone completing the test.

This exam is scheduled throughout the year, usually in conjunction with our HACCP workshops but also as a standalone review and test.

The review portion is 1 ½ days with the 2 hour exam immediately following the completion of the review portion.   Attendees may also choose to purchase an exam voucher that can be used at any of the 1600 Pierson Vue testing sites located throughout the U.S. and Canada.

This four hour workshop provides an excellent foundation reviewing various topics related to the 2013 food code in preparation for the NRFSP Certified Food Manager exam. The two hour NRFSP certification exam follows this training.

This exam focuses on and enhances the knowledge of food safety managers in the food industry based on the FDA food code. The review includes fundamentals of food safety including temperature control, cooking and cooling, cross-contamination, employee hygiene practices, calibration, equipment cleaning and more. This exam exceeds industry expectations for clarity and accuracy.
