Pull Test vs. Gaus Meter-To pull or not to pull?
Category: Videos
The "Pull Test" is a manual test that depends solely on the strength of the person doing the pulling. Results are typically inconsistent.
The "Gauss Meter" is a calibrated instrument that maintains a record of its accuracy, traceable to a N.I.S.T. standard. Results provide a record that can track the strength of the magnet over time. A reading of 10,000 Gauss is recommended. However, the reading of 8,000 Gauss is considered acceptable.
